This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

First I ordered off the app (to good to go) which is not good for our area, but when we arrived the order wasn't done, the cook tried saying that they were out of chicken and offered us lobster or salmon, which could have been dangerous due to allergies. The facility didn't seem very clean, and when they did bring the order they did make chicken, and the food looked like it was cooked on dirt which you can see in the photos. I review all types of places and this was by far one of the worst places I have been.

Baby when I tell y’all I TRIED to support this place, I TRIED. Being Black-owned was enough for me to keep giving chances because I love supporting our businesses, but whew. The first time I went, I wasn’t impressed, so I told myself maybe it was because I came close to closing time. Nope. Went back during the day and somehow it was worse. This time I ordered a seafood boil, lobster basket, and salmon sticks. The lobster was fried so hard it was a complete waste of money. The salmon sticks were nasty. Not “maybe I caught them on a bad day” nasty. Just nasty. The drinks barely had any liquor in them, and after spending my hard-earned money multiple times, I’m honestly irritated. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the owner basically asking for a 5-star review before I even got my food. Sir, let me taste the food first. A review is earned, not requested before the meal even hits the table. And to top it all off, an employee was saying negative things about the place herself. That’s when I knew I wasn’t tripping and it wasn’t just me being picky. I genuinely wanted to support this business, but after multiple visits and multiple disappointments, I can’t recommend it. I’ll be cont

The service was spectacular, though it does take time for the food to arrive, it's worth it! Additionally, their in-house drippy sauce is probably the best wing sauce I've ever had, even if I am a little sensitive to spice! Highly recommend giving this place a shot if you're in the mood for seafood and wings

When I tell you this was the WORST seafood experience ever 😭 We spent over $180 at Detroit Seafood Spot for an “all crab boil” with added half shrimp/half crawfish for Mother’s Day dinner. The all crab boil is advertised to come with 6 JUMBO crab legs… please explain why the crab legs I received were literally the size of my hand 🥴 When I called, they told me they were “out of jumbo crab legs” so they just gave us whatever they had. Ummm… that’s not what we paid for. If you’re out of a main item, customers should be told BEFORE paying almost $200. The crawfish was so salty it was honestly inedible, and the shrimp were somehow UNDERCOOKED. If you know seafood, you know that weird texture immediately 🤢 To make it worse, we were told the wait would be 25 minutes and ended up waiting over an HOUR, completely messing up our Mother’s Day dinner plans. Super disappointing. I really tried to support a Black-owned business, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. We paid with our actual hard-earned money, not food stamps or anything free, and the quality/service absolutely did not match the price. Never again.

Unreal seafood boil!!! For someone who lives across the border and can’t find a decent seafood boil place without driving 2 hours…. This place is amazing !!! I got the Seafood boil with crab and shrimp…. Baby the portions… KING DONT PLAYYY (the photo added is leftovers from the day prior… pheewww the meals had me full for 2 days LOL) Every single bite was bursting with flavour… something Canadians may be lacking in LOL Thank you so much the chefs and to KING for hooking it up with the wings too, everything from this place is fire!!! Add a Strawberry Lemon Drop MMMMMMM ;) you won’t regret it! Cravings turned out to be such a pleasant interaction, an out of this world seafood boil experience and a cute little drive, I hope you feel the same when you check this place out!!! Thank you!!!
